We interrupt our general lamentation to bring you specific grief. One of the three fledges at the Franklin Institute we posted about before flew into a window and died today.
Sometimes things just suck.
But Peanut is okay.

I haven’t commented on the hawks much but I have been following with great interest. This truly does suck. Very sad.
We hawkaholics are heartbroken. She was very special. Born on the first day and second to fledge.
These hawks are a joy to follow. RIP.

I’m sorry to see it. You’re right; even in death she is beautiful.
