Clusterduck

Nothing to see here.

Nothing to see here.

We’re just about an hour into the congressional hearing in which the principal software contractors are testifying about their roles in Healthcare.gov. All we’ve had so far are opening statements by congressmen and the four witnesses.

Interestingly, to hear the witnesses tell it, they performed their jobs as contracted, met their goals, and are proud of their work. So I guess the system is actually working quite well.

Who knew?

Somehow I doubt congress is going to make much of a dent in their jargon-filled testimony. But we’ll see.

uh, Ms. e elites, how was the gala in Boston last night?

uh, Ms. Sebelius, how was the gala in Boston last night?

  1. I heard all the problems were due to the sequester & government shutdown. Or as Steyn put it, “The latest phony crisis where the helpless damsel of Big Government was tied to the railroad tracks by dastardly, mustache-twirling Republicans”.

Wait, I meant glitch. Singular. There are no problems. Sorry.

  2. Loosely related. I am so utterly sick of shit like this:

    http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/24/charles-krauthammer-squares-off-against-jon-stewart-on-the-merits-of-conservatism/

First off, Jon Stewart is a liberal propagandist with a team of writers (and in my opinion, still not funny). Every six months or so he “trashes” the Democrats and sites like the Daily Caller & Hot Air report it as front page news. Who gives a shit? He goes right back to carrying their water the next evening.

Secondly, the McCain-esque tone of the interview. “Oh, Jon, Jon, Ted Cruz isn’t in charge of conservatism! Please, great sir, please-oh-please, please listen to me! I beg you for a moment to justify my beliefs at the precise point in time when the deeds of the political left are destroying the globe!” So Krauthammer must be called to account for his bizarre political leanings to the sagelike Stewart, who is so intelligent that he’s seen absolutely nothing in the past five years to give him pause and question his own beliefs? What?

And finally, the sickening end: “STEWART: If [conservatism] was ever presented in that fashion , the way you just presented it, I think the conversation we would be having in this country would be very different.”

AWWWWwwww, guys. Wow. You see? If we could only be a little more reasonable and bash Ted Cruz and talk about how wonderful FDR was, just look! The left will love us! Which is why McCain won that landslide victory back in 2008, right?

And is it just me or does it seem incredibly obvious that Sebelius is going to be the latest sacrifice made at the altar of the One? She’s part of the problem, of course but it’s not just her, IT’S THE WHOLE FUCKING THING! Can no one stay on target and point this out?
