My favorite jazz

Michael White is supposed to be the best clarinet in the world. Maybe he is. But I’ll go with this guy.

  1. Have you heard Badbadnotgood yet? These kids give me hope for the future of music. I don’t know enough about the various jazz sub-categories (fusion, acid, etc.) to say whether or not they are jazz or jazz-inspired, but at the very least they’re some kind of incredible gateway drug to jazz, if not the real thing:

    I think Dexter Gordon bridled at the term “jazz” and preferred “bebop.” Miles Davis bridled at that term, too, but that dude bridled at everything.

    I personally prefer Eric Dolphy.
