Obama shouldn’t have…

…shaken hands with Castro? Nooooooo! The only go-to sites on the Obamas are outraged about a whole different soap opera, um, problem.

Can somebody please explain to me what's so special about blondes? Well, maybe you should explain it to Michelle first...

Can somebody please explain to me what’s so special about blondes? She’s got him dead to rights. He looks exactly like Mandela in the photo. His hand is so coy, not even touching. Somebody should definitely explain it to Michelle… before she blows a gasket, which is going to happen absolutely any f’ing second. Oh. Thank God. They’ve changed places. Michelle is now protecting The One from Blonde Contamination. I guess there IS a God… Too bad, God is now sulking and bored, as usual.

Everybody knows how much I personally luuuuuv Mandela. So pardon for me for taking time out to sympathize with the Queen of All Creation.

  1. How would you know she was angry? She always scowls like that.

Didn’t she pay attention to Bill Clinton? When you’re President, you get a free… er… pass.

  2. Yeah, Barack probably got a pair of Irish sunglasses when he got home. He’ll be claiming he ran into an open cupboard or something until they heal.

Since you brought up Mandela, thought I’d mention that in none of the copious paens spewed forth since his death could I find a mention about why, exactly, he was in prison in the first place nor what he did as president to better the lives of the people of South Africa. Life there seems to have gotten steadily worse by any objective standard for everyone, black and white, since apartheid ended. Maybe I’m ignorant here but if so, can anyone enlighten me? So far I’ve got the Morgan Freeman rugby game which I think he did little more than simply show up for and wave to the crowd. People keep throwing around phrases like “giant of history” without including any evidence of why such a title is deserved.

      • I read that and thought it was interesting, and *I* know he was a communist & a terrorist with a penchant for bombings in public places. Just saying nobody much mentions that, including an unfortunate number of supposed conservatives who have collectively lost their minds over Mandela’s death. Definitely all water under the bridge for the same lib crowd who were “horrified” by the comparatively tame tactics at Abu Graib.

I haven’t seen anything that suggests Mandela didn’t deserve every second of jail time he got. He probably deserved a harsher sentence. It’s not like the police discovered he was black and locked him up for no reason.

The best line in the link is toward the end, about how now that Mandela’s dead, white liberals in the West are resolved from the responsibility of caring about South Africa. I actually know a little something about the country’s history and it’s sad what has happened to it.

      • Sorry if I sound cross and am not laughing as much as I should at our eunuch president. I’m distressed at how many people mourn or pretend to mourn somebody they don’t actually know anything about just b/c the media told them they should. “He was a great man b/c I said so. Now shaddup.” Nobody bristles at this or is introspective enough to stop & say, “Hang on. Every living US president and how many European leaders attended his funeral? Why? What the fuck did this guy ever *do*, anyway? And why do people like Matt Lauer get upset when I ask this simple question?” Every discussion about George Washington comes with the caveat, “…but remember he was a slave-owning white male.” That Nelson Mandela, though: my, my, my. Simply can’t find much fault with that man. Shades of Jesus Christ, by gum. *weep, sob*

To wit, this from one of our erstwhile GOP candidates for president (Newt):

“After years of preaching non-violence, using the political system, making his case as a defendant in court, Mandela resorted to violence against a government that was ruthless and violent in its suppression of free speech.

As Americans we celebrate the farmers at Lexington and Concord who used force to oppose British tyranny. We praise George Washington for spending eight years in the field fighting the British Army’s dictatorial assault on our freedom.”

Because the founding of the United States is just like Nelson Mandela or something. Except Mandela wasn’t racist like our founding fathers were.

So to give a firmer answer to the question you asked yesterday: there’s no fucking way I will vote for any of these ass clowns in 2016, should they find their way to the GOP nomination. Not doing it anymore.

  3. Eh, Michelle has always had issues. Just goes to show, being attached to value (political power, in this case) is no substitute for intrinsic value of a kind one wishes one’s self to have (beauty, in this case).
