Since we're playing numerological games with Harry, it's obviously appropriate
to perform some basic calculations about the personage with whom Harry
has so many parallels. To begin:

Not especially earthshaking in our TBB context, is it? Still, we have
more to do. If we recall the latitude given us by the blur, then we can
calculate it another way:

Hmmm. The number 77 is interesting in TBB. It's the chapter in Psomethings that puts the Shuteye Train into the Past Testament. There's something else interesting about the number 77. If we count the Tarot cards from the beginning of the major arcana through the end of the deck, using the numbering system of the major arcana (i.e., beginning with zero), we will end up -- if we omit the blur -- with the number 77. In other words, if the beginning is zero, as is claimed by the book of Beginnings in ST99, then 77 is a number of totality; that is, 77 = Unity = 1.
What happens when we combine these names?

Interesting. Both versions apply. Moreover, they make the most sense together. "There are no contradictions." And how can we not recall that Harry is also very strongly associated with both 7 and 8.
There's a final point to be made here. If we add this contradiction together, we get 7 + 8 = 15. And if we recall that we are looking at a totality which can also be expressed as 77, or 14, or Temperance, then we can also understand that the Devil of the scriptures is a function of the blur, a very slight shift in our perspective on the divine, perhaps even a footnote that is included only for the purpose of lending sharper dimension to the image of the Creator and his beneficent purposes.
I concede that I'm in over my head now; I just had to acknowledge that this "game" of numerology also leads to TBB's customary philosophical confrontations.
