Couldn’t resist the joke. I was talking about these Hooters.
The Hooters – All You Zombies (1983) from Flavio Gnoni (-:ENJOYAUDIO:-) on Vimeo.
They were a good band from Philly in the early eighties. As with some other things, it would seem their time might have come round again. Zombies are everywhere of late. Not to mention, uh, Noah!
Might also want to look up Nervous Nights, Day by Day, And We Danced, and Where Do the Children Go?
Very good. I was not aware of that song. This may be off topic but this song dredged up an ancient memory of this short story by Robert Heinlein: http://faculty.uca.edu/rnovy/Heinlein–All%20you%20zombies.htm
Haha, this isn’t too far off base. I wasn’t old enough to appreciate hooters until the ’80s were drawing to a close.
Listened to Zombies & And We Danced. I like the music for And We Danced better but I like the lyrics for both. Still slowly making my way through five or six hundred songs…
Haven’t listened to any more Hooters yet, but I really like Begin the Beguine.
Yeah.
PS – Speaking of Philly, looks like I will be rooting for the Flyers this postseason. Is this relevant to the music discussion? Yes! Because I am including this video montage of Sidney Crosby taking dives & cheap shots set to Celine Dion:

Bravo.
Artie Shaw is the forgotten superstar of the big band era. The best clarinetist. Listen to his “Nightmare” too. He was doing something different. After all, he was married to Ava Gardner for a while. Nobody came out of that unscathed.

I actually have a personal story about that too. But what don’t I have a personal story about? I wish I were making all this stuff up…
