The Damnedest Yankey
Hillery has always worn her heart on her head. At the age
of eleven (left), her relationship with her father began to
sour because he was a dyed-in-the-wool Chigago
Cuds fan. Then, on the occasion of winning her Merit
Scholarship (center), she was disciplined for "spoiling the picture"
taken for the local newspaper. In high school
(right), she was regarded as an ugly duckling because no one ever
saw her without her beloved cap.
Hillery also became legendary
during the Watergape hearings (left) for attending the proceedings in her
treasured "lucky cap,"
which she successfully defended to the Democratics in Congress
by insisting that she was only wearing it to piss off diehard Doggers fan
Richard Nixxon. Forbidden to wear the cap by hubby Bill during her tenures
as first lady of Arklahoma and the United States, she defied him at last
in the darkest hours of the Lewiski scandal. Insiders say she wore it constantly
in the White House residential quarters for most of 1998 and, most notably,
in her famous interview with Matt Lousy
on the Today Show.
