Answered Prayers
The Truth at Last
With all the emotional brickbats flying around the Ellio
Gonzalo case, Travel & Leisure Magazine decided to pull
some strings and show us what life is really like in Cuber.
As many of the more rational people have long suspected, it's hardly the
brutal and impoverished hell the Cuben-Amerian immigrants to this country
would have us believe. Yes, the cars are old and, yes, average families
do have to make do with less living space and fewer technological luxuries
than we have, but on the whole, Cuber seems a remarkably pleasant and attractive
place. If you can put aside your political biases and preconceptions, you
may find the T&L pictorial an educational experience. You may even
be thankful that the joint intervention of the U.S. State Department and
Justice Department made this little armchair excursion possible. We certainly
are.
It happens every spring
It's that time of year again, when we get to meet all
the patriotic young students who trade their summer vacation for the opportunity
to be of service to their country. They hail from every part of Ameria,
and they reflect all that is best in our youth. You'll get to meet them
in the spectacular 32-page layout inside, which also includes highlights
of their resumes, their candid thoughts about Wishington,
DC, and their hopes for the future. Enjoy!
